World Class Willow are an independent cricket bat maker based in Somerset. All of their bats are handmade from English willow. They manage the entire process in-house, from felling the trees and processing the willow into clefts, to handling and shaping the final product into a finished cricket bat. Their bats are the same quality used by professional cricketers, and customers can order bats made to their exact specifications.

The Brief
World Class Willow’s existing website was built on Shopify, which had limitations in terms of flexibility and functionality. They needed a website that better showcased their unique bat-making process and highlighted their key selling point: offering professional-grade cricket bats to the general public. A more customisable eCommerce platform was also required to support their growing business.
The Solution
We kicked things off with a meeting at their Somerset showroom/workshop to understand the brand and their process. We designed and developed a new website using WordPress, with WooCommerce powering the online shop and Klarna integrated for flexible payments. The new site puts their USP front and centre, using bold, bright photography to showcase the craftsmanship and detail of their bats—including their newly re-designed stickers, which we also designed.
