We are pleased to say we were able to support local racer Dominic Veasey at this years World Superbike meeting at Donington Park.
Dominic Veasey, aged 25 from Wells (in Somerset), is a third generation road racer. His father Steve, raced in the first World Superbike in 1988. Twenty five years later, London born Dominic took part in the the National Minitwins championship, at Donington Park WSBK over the May Bank Holiday weekend.
Qualifying in damp conditions, Veasey finished 7th in his class and 29th overall out of forty Bemsee racers, with a best lap time of 1.57.
During race one, which took place on Saturday, he finished 7th in his class, improving his lap time to 1.54. The last race of the weekend, on Sunday saw Dominic finish 24th overall and 5th in his class, with a final lap time of 1.53.
We’d like to thank Dominic and his team for the paddock passes and his hospitality throughout the day (and for answering politely to every question thrown at him from Rod’s over inquisitive 8 year old son, Harry).
