We specialise in producing hardworking, creative, results-driven WordPress website design and development. We’re easy-going and we love what we do. Our work reflects our passion for creativity and delivering results for all our clients.

We use a solid design and development process followed up with meticulous attention to detail to achieve this. Our creative design is concept-driven, not just style over substance.

Meet the SketchCode Studio team

  • Rod Love

    Rod love | Graphic Designer

    Rod graduated from St.Martins School of Art & Design in the summer of ’93 with a BA (Hons) degree in Graphic Design. He cut his designing teeth art directing for a London brand advertising agency working with clients like Brita Water Filters, National Book Tokens, The Stroke Association and Technicolor. With over 25 years commercial design experience, Rod set up SketchCode Studio, where he continues to produce a wide and varied range of hard working online and offline creative design and strategy for SketchCode Studio’s clients.

    Rod enjoys playing the odd game of cricket and rugby and is also a Level 2 UKCC rugby coach.

    When he’s not doing any of the above he likes to cook and eat spaghetti, in volume!

  • Liam Jay

    Liam Jay | Designer & WordPress Expert

    Liam is a creative digital designer who specialises in WordPress website design and development. He studied Graphic Design at the City of Bristol College and then went on to complete a degree at the University of Wales, Newport. He graduated with a BA (Hons) degree in Graphic Design and with a passion to work in the web industry.

    Despite most of his work being web based Liam also applies his strong typographical skills across SketchCode Studio’s client base.

    Liam is a keen cyclist who can often be spotted punishing himself on many of the gruelling hills that Somerset has to offer, including Cheddar Gorge.

    Liam enjoys baking (12cakes.com). He once scotched an Ostrich egg and does a mean Thor impression.

Our website design & development process

  • Web design briefing

    The Briefing

    Our website design and development process starts with a focus meeting to outline the requirements and develop a strategy for the project. We will ask for existing brand guidelines. We will also agree on costs.

  • Web design and development Sitemap

    Site Map & Wireframes

    We will produce a site map and design wireframes which will act as blueprints for how the content will be laid out on each page of the website design.

  • Website design ideas and concepts

    Ideas & Concepts

    We will produce a concept website design using existing guidelines or we will start from scratch. Once these have been refined to a stage where everyone is happy we take the work into code and start the development process.

  • Website design and development Production

    Production

    We get to work on developing your website design. We’ll also put it online, on one of our test servers, so you can monitor the progress. You’ll be a part of the process throughout.

  • Website design and development - Launch

    Project Launch

    We will configure and upload the website to your hosting. We will continue to track and review for 48hrs to make sure all is working as it should be.

  • WordPress Web Design Tuition

    FREE Tuition

    If you require tuition on how to get the most out of your new website we will provide up to 2 hrs free learning.

  • Health check

    Health Check

    Six months after launch we will do a free website health check to make sure it’s performing as it should.
